Community Involvement

TekFive is committed to giving back to our local community through participation in non-profit organizations and industry associations. We share our technical services, serve in leadership roles, and provide charitable contributions to causes that are important to our employees and our communities.

TekFive is active in all areas of professional and charitable work and supports more than 25 widely diverse organizations – from the youngest and most vulnerable in our city, to serving our Nation’s service men and women.

Semper Fi Community Task Force of North Alabama

Semper Fi's mission is to lend support to meet existing and emerging needs of the local community through volunteering time and talent.  SFCTF also acts as a conduit for companies, civic organizations, community groups, local churches,  and individual citizens who want to use their resources to support wounded warriors and active duty military families. TekFive is honored to support Semper Fi Community Task Force through financial contribution and volunteering.


THE CATALYST CENTER FOR BUSINESS & ENTREPRENEURSHIP

As a 501 (C)(3) non-profit, The Catalyst proudly serves our community’s entrepreneurs with the belief that, with the right resources at hand, anyone can start, grow, and succeed in business for the betterment of their community and themselves.

The Catalyst has six main focus areas which are Start-Ups and Entrepreneurs, Established Businesses, Women, Veterans, Government Contractors, and Innovation and Technology Businesses. As the Veterans Focus Area Sponsor, TekFive provides support and mentorship to veterans starting and growing a business.


New Hope Children’s Clinic

Beginning with original inception, TekFive has financially and technically supported The New Hope Children’s Clinic. The New Hope Children’s Clinic is a free and low-cost medical clinic that provides healthcare to the children of Southeastern Madison County to include New Hope, Owens Cross Roads, Big Cove, and Gurley.

  • Established the online presence of the clinic through website creation

  • Lead vendor negotiation and provided vendor selection support of the Clinic’s healthcare management system

  • Specified and executed the procurement of all information technology resources

  • Manages the underlying operational support infrastructure (email / calendaring / productivity applications)


Women in Defense

Cultivating and supporting the advancement and recognition of women in all aspects of national security is the mission of Women in Defense (WID), A National Security Organization.  Members of this non-profit professional organization, which includes men and women, have careers related to the defense of the United States and national security. TekFive employees not only are members in WID, but also serve in leadership roles on the Board of Directors.


Huntsville Hospital Foundation

Huntsville Hospital Foundation was established in 1978 as a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization with a mission to develop relationships and financial resources to support the health care programs, projects and services of Huntsville and Madison Hospitals. Thanks to the generosity of individuals, corporations and organizations, our physicians and staff are able to provide outstanding medical care for our patients, regardless of their ability to pay.  TekFive and our employees make financial contributions as well as serve on the HH Foundation Development Council.


National Space Club

The National Space Club was founded to stimulate the exchange of ideas and information about rocketry and astronautics, as well as to recognize U.S. achievements in space.  The club is a nonprofit corporation comprised of representatives from industry, government, educational institutions and private individuals.  The Huntsville chapter was founded in 1985 to further the National Space Club’s local interests.  It founded and sponsors annually the Dr. Wernher von Braun Memorial Dinner and proceeds from this dinner are distributed throughout the ensuing year for student scholarships and to organizations involved in STEM education activities.  TekFive is proud to be a member of Huntsville's National Space Club.


Women's Economic          Development Council

Women's Economic Development Council is a group of women business professionals who provide opportunities to women for leadership and economic development through education, mentoring and networking. WEDC exists to strengthen the position of women in business and in the community. TekFive employees are proud to be members and serve in leadership roles on WEDC.

National Defense Industrial Association

NDIA provides a legal and ethical forum for the interchange of ideas between the government and industry to resolve industrial problems of joint concern. TekFive is proud to support and be a member of NDIA. NDIA charters the Space and Missile Defense Working Group. SMDWG is in its 25th Year of providing technical leadership, support, and education for the defense of our deployed forces and our nation from ballistic and cruise missiles. TekFive supports both NDIA and SMDWG through events and employee participation.


The Association

The Association of Huntsville area technical and professional societies is dedicated to the advancement of science and engineering.  Founded on June 17, 1969, HATS has grown from seven charter societies to the current organizations representing more than 18,000 individuals. It's mission is to coordinate the professional, educational, and civic activities of its members organizations and to promote common goals.  TekFive currently serves on the Board of Directors.


Huntsville Aerospace    Marketing Association

The Huntsville Aerospace Marketing Association (HAMA) is THE organization for aerospace business development professionals in the Tennessee Valley. More than 200 HAMA members represent nearly 200 member companies that support local federal government agencies. TekFive is a proud member of HAMA.


Wounded Warrior Project

Wounded Warrior's mission is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history. They do this by raising awareness and enlisting the public's aid for the needs of injured service members, helping injured service members aid and assist each other, and providing unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members. TekFive is honored to support and volunteer with Wounded Warrior.
