Tony Taylor
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Taylor has more than 20 years of leadership expertise in IT solutions for various U.S. DoD and NASA organizations, including IT Product Manager of federal Enterprise Content Management System and IT Team Technical Lead. Mr. Taylor provides continuous leadership for all phases of critical enterprise software contracts.

Mr. Taylor served in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) II as a U.S. Navy Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Corpsman assigned to the 4th Marine Anti Terrorism Battalion (ATBN) in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq from 2004 to 2005.  In addition, Mr. Taylor served as a Staff Non Commissioned Officer (SNCO)/Lead Petty Officer (LPO) for the 4th Marine ATBN Medical Department during Operation Enduring Freedom, Task Force Katrina, and joint operations with the Israeli Defense Forces.  Mr. Taylor was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, in the Iraqi theater, for his participation in numerous firefights and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) attacks.

Mr. Taylor lives out the principles of servant leadership by putting the well-being of his clients and employees first, and by actively serving his community as a deputy in the Madison County Sheriff Office reserve program. Mr. Taylor is an active supporter of the local Madison County chapter of the Semper Fi Community Task Force (SFCTF), a 501(c)3 organization supporting veterans, active duty, and 1st Responders.


Peter Cauwels
President

Mr. Cauwels has managed numerous strategic IT projects and has extensive knowledge in the areas of enterprise services including DevSecOps, enterprise integration, service oriented architecture, and application development. 

Mr. Cauwels has supported NASA's enterprise IT efforts in varying roles since 2001. While at the NASA Agency Applications Office (AAO), Mr. Cauwels has successfully grown and managed a large team of developers focused on custom software development, web development, mobile development, and software integration at NASA. Mr. Cauwels’ strategic vision and leadership of IT resources at NASA secured the successful design, development and implementation of the Agency’s container platform, DevSecOps pipeline, and the Open Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).


Shawn Hale
Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Hale is a former United States Marine and Gulf War Veteran who brings over 10 years of financial experience to TekFive and provides accounting and finance support for both the commercial and Government sectors. Mr. Hale’s professional career includes over 20 years of experience in the technical services industry with roles spanning entry level development to Senior System Analyst. Mr. Hale graduated from Auburn University in 1995 and has lived in Huntsville since 1987. He is married to Huntsville native, Laura Hale, and is the father of three boys.


Corey Baswell
Chief Technical Officer

Mr. Baswell is TekFive's Chief Technology Officer. He has over 20 years of enterprise IT experience as a full stack engineer in the areas of application development, enterprise architecture, and platform development. Mr. Baswell is not a typical CTO as he prefers delivering working software over slide decks and coding over Gartner conferences. He has developed numerous enterprise software services including the NASA OpenESB, the NASA and VA DevSecOps pipeline, the NASA and VA Pulse app analytics, and the NASA Application Portfolio Management tool.

Mr. Baswell received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Auburn University where he graduated summa cum laude.
