In his role as Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Lackey manages the day-to-day corporate operations, directs business development activities, and guides strategic planning and partnerships for TEK•FIVE.
Previously, Al served for 20 years as President of Kids Alive International where he led and managed a globally diverse leadership team with a mission to rescue orphans and at risk Children, and help families break out of their cycle of poverty to become productive adults in the communities where they live. Al created a strategic ministry environment with appropriate management structures, systems, vision, and funding that enabled Kids Alive International to grow from serving 700 children with a budget of just under $1M, to a NGO today serving nearly 6000 children and hundreds of families with a global budget of $12.5M.
Al is a successful mentor and coach to cross-cultural international leadership teams spanning 18 countries.
Mr. Cauwels has managed numerous development projects and has extensive knowledge in the areas of enterprise integration, service oriented architecture, and application development.
Peter has supported NASA's enterprise IT efforts in varying roles since 2001. Over the last 15 years at the NASA Agency Applications Office (AAO), Peter has successfully grown and managed a large team of developers focused on custom software development, web development, mobile development, and software integration at NASA. Peter's strategic vision and leadership of IT resources at NASA secured the successful design, development and implementation of the Open Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and integration of key NASA enterprise systems.
Mr. Hale is a former United States Marine and Gulf War Veteran who brings over 10 years of financial experience to TekFive and provides accounting and finance support for both the commercial and Government sectors. Mr. Hale’s professional career includes over 20 years of experience in the technical services industry with roles spanning entry level development to Senior System Analyst. Mr. Hale graduated from Auburn University in 1995 and has lived in Huntsville since 1987. He is married to Huntsville native, Laura Hale, and is the father of three boys.
Corey Baswell is TekFive's Chief Technology Officer. He has over 15 years of application development and operational support experience in industries ranging from telecommunications to IT services. Corey’s job is to leverage technology to solve problems for TekFive's clients. Before coming to TekFive, Corey worked in Adtran's Network Management department where he he developed client and server software for monitoring and configuration Adtran's network equipment.
Corey received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Auburn University where he graduated summa cum laude.
Mr. Taylor has more than 20 year of leadership expertise in IT solutions for various U.S. DoD and NASA organizations, including IT Product Manager of federal Enterprise Content Management System and IT Team Technical Lead. Mr. Taylor provides continuous leadership for all phases of critical enterprise software contracts.
Mr. Tony Taylor served in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) II as a U.S. Navy Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Corpsman assigned to the 4th Marine Anti Terrorism Battalion (ATBN) in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq from 2004 to 2005. In addition, Mr. Taylor served as a Staff Non Commissioned Officer (SNCO)/Lead Petty Office (LPO) for the 4th Marines ATBN Medical Department during Operation Enduring Freedom, Task Force Katrina, and joint operations with the Israeli Defense Forces. Mr. Taylor was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Acheivement Medal, in the Iraqi theater, for his participation in numerous firefights and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) attacks.
Mr. Taylor lives out the principles of servant leadership by putting the well-being of his clients and employees first, and by actively serving his community as a deputy in the Madison County Sheriff Office reserve program. As a life-long resident of Huntsville, is also a member of several community organizations and initiatives including the Semper Fi Community Task Force, Junior Achievement North Alabama, Upward Ministry youth sports, and a recognized fundraiser for the North Alabama Alzheimer Association.
